A Works Cited page lists all the sources cited in a paper.  How it is formatted depends upon the citation style you are using.

MLA style: Works Cited page (Modern Language Association)

  • Commonly used in PCC's Writing courses. Normally when writing papers in literature.

APA style: References page (American Psychological Association)

  • Used in psychology, nursing, and some other social sciences.

Chicago style: Endnotes and Bibliography

  • Commonly used in history.
  • Chicago style has two variations.  Check which one your instructor prefers.
