How do eBooks differ from printed books?

  • Publishers and and databases may limit the numbers of people who can simultaneously access an eBook.
  • Most allow generous printing and copying of material, but there may be limits.
  • You can peruse a book in your browser (after logging into the database with MyPima credentials).
  • But to download a book you often need special digital rights software like Adobe DRM. This is a hassle to set up, but may be worth it.
  • Just be prepared for different databases to operate differently.
