Community Users: Set/Reset Your PIN

NOTE: Students, faculty and staff use PCC credentials to login to their Library account and so so not require a PIN

If you are a community user, in order to access your library account, request/hold an item or view or renew your checked out items, you’ll need to set a PIN. If you forget your PIN, you can also reset it following these directions.

  1. When you click on My Account or Request you’ll have two choices, select Community Member Login

  1. Click on “Reset your PIN”, even if you are creating your PIN for the first time.

  1. Enter the barcode number on your library card when prompted and click submit

  1. A popup will appear letting you know that your PIN reset instructions have been sent successfully. Instructions are sent to the email we have on file for you. Contact us if you need to update or change your email in our system.
  2. Log into your email and find the message sent from library-notices@pima.edu You may need to check your spam folder. Open the message and click on the link.

  1. Set/reset your PIN following these PIN requirements:
    • PINs must be a minimum of 4 alphanumeric characters and a maximum of 8; special characters are not supported.
    • PINs are NOT case-sensitive.
    • PINs must be alphanumeric (for example, 6swan54)
    • PINs cannot contain common patterns, such as:
      • Consecutively repeating a character three or more times (for example, aaaa, aaaax7gp, x7gp3333).
      • Consecutively repeating a set of up to four characters two or more times (for example, abab, abcabc, abcdabcd, ababx7gp, x7gp3434)
    • The system allows you to enter more than eight characters when creating a PIN, however, only the first eight characters are stored in your record and are used to log you in.
