Q. I have a hold on my account. What am I supposed to do?
While the campus libraries are closed in response to public health concerns related to COVID-19, holds will not block students from the activities noted in the next section.

The library will place a "hold" on your account if you fail to return a book on time. The hold will prevent you from doing the following:
- Registering for classes
- Getting a copy of your transcript
- Using library databases when you are OFF-campus
To remove the hold, you have two options:
- Bring back the overdue item. Once the library receives the item in good condition, the hold will disappear within 24 hours. If you can't wait that long, let the circulation staff know. They can quickly remove the hold.
- Pay for the item. If you can't find the overdue item, you can pay for it in order to clear the hold from your account. Go to any campus library to get a bill for the item. Pay at the Cashier's office. Once the item is paid for, return to the Library, and we will clear the hold from your account. If you find the lost item within a year, we may give you a refund.
